THE FLORA FAMILY FOUNDATION SELECTS JENNIFER DAVIS AS NEW PRESIDENT

MENLO PARK, CA – Jan 18, 2022 —

The Flora Family Foundation (FFF) is tapping Jennifer Davis, current Executive Vice President of The Philanthropy Workshop, to become its new President effective April 1, 2022.  Davis will succeed Steve Toben, who is retiring from FFF after serving on the staff since 2000 and as President since 2003.

The appointment follows a national search for the Foundation’s new President to lead the organization’s next phase, with the continuing mission to support social progress, environmental well-being, and cultural vibrancy across the world.  Davis will leave her current post in March 2022 after nearly nine years with the organization.  The Philanthropy Workshop is a community of over 450 global leaders committed to addressing the world’s most pressing social and environmental issues.  As the largest community of its kind, TPW engages donors who seek to leverage their time, talent, resources, and ties for sustainable impact.

Davis’s expertise in philanthropy, her credentials in social progress and global development, and her track record of partnering with individuals in their pursuit of impactful giving is highly aligned with FFF’s mission.  Previously, Davis served with the Institute for Philanthropy and a number of U.S. and international nonprofit organizations.  Additionally, Davis is a current board member with the Sall Family Foundation.

“During his tenure, Steve’s thoughtful and dynamic leadership has resulted in new and more sophisticated levels of engagement between Hewlett family members and FFF’s beneficiaries in the United States and around the world.  We are looking forward to welcoming Jennifer to build on what is already in place and to stimulate fresh ideas and philanthropic exploration by family members in the years to come,” said Susan Briggs, FFF’s Board Chair.

“I'm both humbled and excited to take on this role with such a remarkable family and institution. It will be a tremendous honor to help steward the Hewlett family legacy, succeed Steve Toben after his distinguished tenure, and work alongside FFF’s community of exceptional partner organizations,” said Jennifer Davis.
